Erasmus Mundus scholars:

Angela Wong (Singapore)

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme: ‘European Master in Health Economics and Management’

Current Occupation: Manager (Environmental Education, Research and Conservation), Resorts World Sentosa

While initial challenges posed by the pandemic hindered, in some ways, social and academic networking, other aspects of my Erasmus experience fortunately remained intact in my opinion. The 'multiversal' nature of the programme and the unwavering spirit of the Erasmus dynamics kept us determined in bridging the distance between learners and educators meaningfully to safekeep the integrity of our learning experiences in the best possible ways.

Angela Kwon Mei Jun (Malaysia)

Current Occupation: Educator, specifically polytechnic lecturer teaching English

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme: IMAESC (International Master in Adult Education for Social Change)

My two years pursuing IMAESC (2017-2019) has been an incredibly enriching, eye-opening, memorable, and unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience that words cannot sufficiently describe. The academic journey, as well as the lived experiences in Estonia, Scotland, and Malta, has changed me in so many ways, both professionally and in my personal growth as a human being. Looking back, I am so glad I took that leap of faith!

Tham Jia Ying (Malaysia)

Current Occupation: Educator/ Subject consultant

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme:

With a fantastic, incredible two years of experience, I learned a lot of different things while living in different countries and facing different cultures. I got to work with people from varied backgrounds, which further enriched my knowledge. I got the opportunity to cooperate with European researchers and to expose myself to high-tech equipment and tools, which is hardly found in Malaysia. Thank you for the scholarship, which made my dream to study in Europe become reality.

Jeffrey P. Razonabe (Philippines)

Current Occupation: Social Worker

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme: ESWOCHY (European Joint Masters in Social Work with Children and Youth.

Being an Erasmus Mundus Student is a life-changing experience that happened in my life. It opened up a lot of opportunities for me and engaged me in an international perspective of Social Work Practice. It helped me a lot by improving my professional skills, Erasmus allows students also to have the opportunity to expand their horizons. Learning while traveling Europe is the best feeling that I felt in my Erasmus journey. Learning while having fun is the BEST!!!

Virza Maradhika (Indonesian)

Current Occupation: Erasmus Mundus Association Country Representative for Indonesia

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme: Experts Sustain

My Erasmus journey began in Czech Republic from 2015-2016 where I entered an international student atmosphere where we also ended as lifelong friends from different backgrounds and nationalities. While gaining a global perspective in the world class education system, we also created mutual understanding and cultural exchange that grow and equip us as professional and also a global citizen. As the alumnus and now the Country Representative for Indonesia, I’ve been promoting Erasmus since 2017 through education expo, webinar, and campus visit in order to encourage more Indonesian to be the future awardees of this notable scholarship.

Jana Lim (Singapore)

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme: ‘Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management’ (GEM)’

Current Occupation: 2nd year MSc student

Embarking on this Erasmus journey has been life-changing. It has allowed me to learn from people who come from very different walks of life and challenged me in so many ways. It is like choosing to hop onto a roller coaster – you learn to scream and laugh at the same time!
