Singapore-France Joint Innovation Call

france-singapore

Singapore companies keen to embark on joint innovation projects with French companies can now receive support by participating in a joint call for proposals for Singapore-France technological R&D projects.

Enterprise Singapore and Bpifrance will provide access to public funding for jointly selected projects. The programme aims to encourage the development of ready-to-market solutions for products, technology-based services or methods that have strong potential for the French, Singapore or international market.

Who can apply?

The project consortium must involve at least one Singapore company and one French company. Project partners must cooperate on a joint innovation project that will focus on developing innovative products and applications in technological and application areas such as advanced manufacturing, clean technology, and medical technology.

All Singapore companies must meet the eligibility criteria for the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) in order to apply.

How to apply?

  1. Singapore companies can look for suitable project partners through the Enterprise Europe Network.
  2. Next, they should read and download the call document, which contains all the relevant details about the current joint call for proposals. For further assistance, companies can contact Enterprise Singapore by emailing us here.
  3. Singapore companies should then initiate early consultation with Enterprise Singapore on the eligibility of their projects by emailing the same contact above.
  4. On behalf of the consortium, one project partner should submit (i) the completed project application form, signed by all organisations participating in the project; and (ii) a draft consortium agreement that regulates the terms of cooperation between all partners. The application must be submitted to both Enterprise Singapore and Bpifrance. The call will close on 24 April 2020, 2359 SGT. Proposals will be assessed on a rolling basis, as long as they are submitted before the deadline.
  5. Thereafter, if the project is found to be eligible, each project partner is required to submit a related funding application form to their respective country funding bodies. For Singapore companies, the equivalent of this is the application form for the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), which can support up to 70% of qualifying project costs. Singapore companies must submit the EDG application form on the Business Grants Portal, along with the project application form and draft consortium agreement attached as supporting documents.
