European Research and Innovation Days is the European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
The event will take place online on 28 and 29 September 2022, allowing everyone to get involved from anywhere.
This year’s European Research and Innovation Days gives you the opportunity to discuss and shape new solutions to strengthen Europe’s resilience and its strategic autonomy. Join us to debate how research and innovation deliver on the European Commission’s priorities.

The programme includes sessions on Horizon Europe, the new European Innovation Agenda, the EU Missions and many more topics and allows ample opportunities to interact and network with speakers and other attendees throughout the event.
- Learning and participating: In keynote speeches, panels, talks and presentations you will get to hear the latest insights from thought leaders in science and innovation. We will also see how the latest research and innovation can respond to the urgent problems our world is facing. Who can attend the Research & Innovation Days?
Policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens. Participation is open to everyone with an interest in the topic, and is free of charge. Registration is mandatory
Do I need special equipment or requirements to join the event? The event will be hosted on a web-based platform. You should be able to join with any modern PC and a working internet connection. No special equipment is needed; however it is encouraged to have a webcam in order to enjoy the full experience of the networking features of the event.
