We are inviting postdoctoral researchers from around Europe, from all disciplines, with a supervisor from JYU to apply for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF). JYU Research and Innovation Services (RIS) provide you with an extensive online Master Class and personalised support to apply for this competitive funding.
If you are a postdoctoral researcher eager to work at JYU or a post-doc returning to Finland from at least a two-year research period abroad, this funding is a great career opportunity for you.
The MSCA-PF funding is aimed at improving career perspectives and the international mobility of postdoctoral researchers. Applicants need to be citizens or long-term residents of an EU member state.
There are two ways you can use this funding:
- Standard two-year European Fellowships to work at JYU when you have not lived in Finland for more than 12 months within the past three years
- The Global Fellowship is for a 1 to 2-year research stay outside Europe. The funding covers a one-year mandatory return period to JYU.
The call will open at the Funding and Tenders portal on 12th April 2023. The deadline for the application on 13th September 2023.
JYU Research and Innovation Services support comprises online Master Class, personal meetings, advice on grant writing by experienced experts, peer meetings, and proposal commenting. The Master Class starts on 29th March 2023. To participate in the JYU master class, you need a committed supervisor at JYU. The supervisor's name is asked upon registration to the master class.
Examples of the topics of the meetings:
- Proposal structure: Parts B1 & B2. What to write and where?
- Implementation plan: how to design objectives, work packages, and milestones
- Research ethics
- Researcher training and transferable skills
In addition to JYU Research Funding Advisors, there will be visiting speakers with experience in successful applying, and even on evaluation of MSCA-PF applications.
