Researchers, innovative enterprises, policy makers and other stakeholders from ASEAN and the EU countries will join to discuss state-of-the-art research and innovative technologies in all steps of the food chain (“from farm to fork”) in areas like saving energy and “Zero Waste” in the processing of agricultural products, creating value from food harvesting and processing waste, alternatives to plastic food packaging, e.g. biodegradables and edible coatings, application of robotics and Artificial Intelligence for resource and energy efficiency, or making food chains transparent and safer through blockchain technology. Practical applications of such innovations will complement the scientific perspective, for example in Thailand’s “TraceThai” food and agricultural products traceability system and by a leading global food producer.
