Are you interested in PhD or Postdoc opportunities at the Technical University of Munich? Join the virtual Research Opportunities Week (ROW) 2021!

This year, the Technical University of Munich invites young researchers from all over the world to join the virtual five-day event and learn about exciting PhD and postdoc opportunities at TUM.

ROW takes place from 12 to 16 April 2021.

Postdoc Candidates

During the Research Opportunities Week, participants will get the unique opportunity to meet and network with TUM professors & researchers at the virtual Career Opportunities Fair. Furthermore, participants get the chance to inform themselves about postdoc funding opportunities in Germany, and to join inspiring talks and webinars. Participation is free for all selected participants. After the ROW, participants have the opportunity to apply for a prestigious two-year fellowship at TUM.

Postdoc Fellowship at TUM

The Research Opportunities Week is the first part of a two-step-program organized by the TUM Talent Factory. Participants have the opportunity to apply for a new 2-year fellowship program shortly after the ROW. Details about the new fellowship program will be available here until the end of February.

PhD Candidates

Are you interested in doing your doctoral research at the Technical University of Munich (TUM)? Apply now for the virtual DestinationTUM – Doctoral Week from April 12-16, 2021!

Besides getting to know the TUM and the TUM Graduate School (TUM-GS), you will have the opportunity to participate in workshops such as How to fund your doctorate, How to choose a supervisor as well as on other topics related to doctoral research. During the program week, you may also participate in the virtual Career Opportunities Fair where you will have the unique opportunity to meet potential supervisors. Participation is free of charge.

Application Eligibility

You may apply for the DestinationTUM - Doctoral Week if you:

  • Have completed a 2-years Master’s program in a relevant research area with above-average success within the last 3 years at an institution other than TUM, or

  • Will graduate from a 2-years Master's program in a relevant research area with above-average success before September 2021 at an institution other than TUM.

Applications can only be submitted via the application portal. The portal opens on Monday, 15 February 2021. The link to the application portal will be posted here on the same day. The application deadline is Sunday, 21 March 2021. Applicants will be informed whether they have been selected for the event until March 26, 2021. Please hand in all documents in English.
