Solve global challenges and make a positive impact on the ASEAN region!

The Galileo Hackathons are back – all virtual this time and with new partners. Learn everything you need to know about the Galileo Hackathons in Southeast Asia here.

Between 12 to 14 November 2021, 3 Galileo Hackathons will open their doors to innovators across Southeast Asia.

What are the Galileo Hackathons?

The word hackathon comes from “hack” and “marathon”. At the Galileo Hackathons, participants or “hackers” are invited to tackle a challenge in a Team of five. Your team will come together for a weekend to propose an idea (also called “project”) to tackle the challenge.

There are 4 different challenges in the Galileo Hackathons that you can choose from. The only requirement for your project is that it is connected to the European Global Satellite Navigation System called Galileo! But don’t be scared. You don’t need to know what Galileo is or have any technical or prior knowledge. The Galileo Hackathons are inclusive and specifically invite people from different backgrounds to form multi-disciplinary teams!

The Galileo Hackathons are a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience, opportunity for international cooperation and your first step towards a successful career in one of the fastest-growing industry sectors globally with many high-promising job opportunities. If a project has merit, it will have the chance to win a cash prize of up to 2,000 €.

The deadline for registration has been extended to Tuesday, 9 November 2021.

We are looking for multi-disciplinary teams and it is a simple ideation hackathon meaning that everyone is welcome!
