FRANCE: INRAE IS RECRUITING 60 RESEARCH SCIENTISTS

INRAE is France's new National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment, created on January 1, 2020. It was formed by the merger of INRA, the National Institute for Agricultural Research, and IRSTEA, the National Research Institute of Science and Technology for the Environment and Agriculture.

First research institution in Europe for animal and plant sciences, INRAE carries out mission-oriented research for high-quality and healthy foods, competitive and sustainable agriculture and a preserved and valorised environment.

In 2021, INRAE seeks researchers from all disciplines to reinforce laboratory and fieldwork teams. Researchers will be heavily involved in scientific networks and tackle environmental, economic and social issues.

The recruitment campaign is generally aimed at junior researchers who have recently obtained their PhD. Candidates are recruited on the basis of their scientific competence which they will put to the service of INRAE’s major research axes by responding to a research topic.

Candidates must have published articles on the results of their PhD.

Positions are open in a wide range of scientific disciplines such as: Agronomy, forestry and animal production – Biological and environmental engineering – Ecology – Economics – Genetics – Genomics and other omic approaches – Geochemistry and biogeochemistry – Geography and geomatics – Informatics and artificial intelligence – Instrumentation, robotics and imaging – Mathematics – Mathematics and informatics for life sciences and the environment – Molecular Biology – Neurosciences and behavioural sciences – Nutrition – Physics, chemistry, material sciences – Physiology – Sociology
