EURAXESS ASEAN will be awarding the EURAXESS Prize 2019 to the 1st place winners of the FameLab competitions in Malaysia and in Thailand.
The EURAXESS Prize will be awarded to the 1st place winner of FameLab Malaysia 2019 and FameLab Thailand 2019 in recognition of their great science communication achievement. The Prize is meant as a career-advancement bursary enabling the winners to expand their professional network through linkages with researchers in the European Union. With a value of EUR 600 it offers the winner the unique opportunity to visit a research lab or university anywhere in the European Union.
About FameLab
FameLab is a communications competition designed to engage and entertain by breaking down science, technology and engineering concepts into 3-minute presentations. Contestants from around the world take part armed only with their wits and a few props – the result is an unpredictable, enlightening and exciting way to encourage your curiosity and find out about the latest research.FameLab was started in 2005 in the UK by Cheltenham Science Festival and has quickly become established as a diamond model for successfully identifying, training and mentoring scientists and engineers to share their enthusiasm for their subjects with the public.
Application for participation in FameLab Malaysia is already closed. The finals will be held in Kuala Lumpur on 27 April 2019.
