Who we are
FGen is a biotechnology spin-off company of the ETH Zurich active in the field of synthetic biology and high throughput experimentation. We collaborate with biotech and pharmaceutical companies for the development of phenotypic high throughput assays based on microfluidics and our proprietary nanoliter-rector screening platform. Who you are
You are an open-minded team player that wants to do a bachelor/master thesis or internship at an exciting biotech start-up company. You perform your studies in the field of biological sciences and you know fundamental molecular biology and microbiological techniques or you are familiar with cell biology and biochemical methods.
What you give
You are willing to spend at least 6 months in the charming city of Basel and you are eager to share and discuss innovative ideas. You will be responsible for a small project, which we will be selected according to your background and which will be described in detail after your application has been accepted.
What you get back
You will get hands-on expertise in modern biotechnological techniques and get insight into the work in an industrial biotech context. You will also experience the busy life in a young start-up company and learn how to successfully conclude a scientific project.
