Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science of University of Tsukuba invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at Assistant Professor level in the field of services for super-aged society and/or universal services. The Faculty seeks applicants, who can international and interdisciplinary research and education on public services in public facilities such as libraries in a super-aged society, universal services for the community formation that allows diversity, information literacy and information behavior. The applicants are also expected to be interested in both theory and practice and who can actively return their research results to society.

Research work in the field of services for super-aged society and/or universal services.
Teaching undergraduate courses at the College of Knowledge and Library Sciences; PBL-Based Development of Library Service Programs, etc. and supervision of undergraduate students.
Teaching graduate courses at the Master's Program in Informatics, Degree Programs in Comprehensive Human Sciences, Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences; Public Services, Special Seminar in Informatics, etc. and supervision of graduate students.
Administrative duties (including attendance at committees conducted in Japanese). Applicants are required to teach classes in both Japanese and English.

(4) Joining social insurance, application of employment insurance, and worker's compensation insurance
(5) Assistant Professor: Annual salary scheme (6,480,000 JPY/Year)

About Tenure track position
* It is possible to extend the tenure track period for up to 3 years to those who have taken childcare or nursing care leave.
* The interim assessment will be made two years before the tenure track period expires.
* The tenure examination will be conducted six months before the tenure track period expires, and comprehensively taking into consideration the educational achievement in addition to the research achievement.
