DEPARTMENTDepartamento de Química Agrícola, Edafología y Microbiología
Prof. José Ramos / Dept. Química Agrícola, Edafología y Microbiología welcomes expressions of interest from Postdoctoral researchers with an excellent track record of research and publication to apply jointly from UCO to the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme in 2021 (MSCA-PF-2021), which call will be open on 18th May 2021.
My current research focuses on yeast biotechnology. My research group is currently interested in the role of terroir yeast strains on Iberian dry-meat products and sausages to improve the final characteristics and to obtain new and more ecological products. My projects always intend to go beyond the state-of-the-art in the sense that we look for new contributions of the microorganisms to new and better products. The final goal of my research line is to use terroir yeast strains to improve the quality of dry-meat products and, at the same time, to decrease the amount of chemical preservatives.
If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, please, forward your CV and a short motivation letter including your research area, project idea and how you, and your research, could contribute to my research lines.
Expressions of interest must be forwarded before 18th May 2021 to mi1raruj@uco.es stating in the subject “EoI_MSCA-PF-2021”. The selected candidate will be invited to work in the application together with Prof. José Ramos and the International Projects Office from UCO from the month of May’2021. Please, ensure your agenda allows for full dedication to the proposal preparation during the summer months, since the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship deadline is 15th September 2021.
