RESEARCH GROUP:

The research group is leaded by Prof. José Ramos.

We have the experience (more than 100 papers on ion homeostasis in eukaryotic cells) and the facilities to develop the proposal. We are looking for targets of pathogenesis related to the potassium transporters.

The selected candidate will be invited to work in the application together with Prof. José Ramos and the International Projects Office from UCO from the month of May’2021. Please, ensure your agenda allows for full dedication to the proposal preparation during the summer months, since the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship deadline is 15th September 2021.

For eligibility:

  •    Have a Doctoral degree
  •    Have a maximum of 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience(*)

For mobility:

  •    The researcher has not resided or carried out his/her main activity (e.g., work, studies) in the country of the Host Institution for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date (exceptions to this apply under the career restart and reintegration panels).

Thanks to their support, UCO has a large experience in coordinating, managing and implementing international projects since 2nd Framework Programme (2FP_1987–1991). During the last Framework Programme (H2020_2014-2020), UCO obtained 45 projects funded, plus 47 projects funded by other European programmes, meaning almost 20 M€ in income.
