The Majumdar lab is currently seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows in Synthetic Chemistry to work in our laboratory of Chemical Neuroscience. The laboratory starts July 1, 2018 at the Center for Clinical Pharmacology. The Center for Clinical Pharmacology is a collaboration between Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis - Department of Anesthesiology and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. We invite applications for postdoctoral associates to work with an emerging principal investigator’s research efforts on development of novel compounds that target opioid receptors for potential use in treatment of human diseases including chronic pain, cocaine and alcohol addiction. We are currently funded by grants from National Institute of Drug Abuse and Department of Defense. Opportunities to collaborate in broad areas of Neuroscience and Pharmacology exist within the group as well with other faculty members at Washington University Department of Anesthesiology.

Do you have?
- Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry is desirable and experience in natural products chemistry preferred.
- Research experience, including experience in natural products total synthesis is an advantage.
- Interest in running biochemical assays and mice behavioral assays.
- Interest in collaborating with world renowned neuroscientists and pharmacologists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
