Prof. Carlos Guzmán / Dept. Genetics welcomes expressions of interest from Postdoctoral researchers with an excellent track record of research and publication to apply jointly from UCO to the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme in 2021 (MSCA-PF-2021), which call will be open on 18th May 2021.

My current research focuses on wheat quality genetic improvement. My research group is currently interested in determining the genetic factors that control grain quality traits to improve the processing, end-use and nutritional quality of wheat. My projects always intend to go beyond the state-of-the-art in identifying the genes and alleles that have a greater impact in the wheat grain quality traits and transfer them to the proper genetic background. The final goal of my research line is to develop new wheat cultivars with enhanced grain quality, which are attractive for farmers, food industry and consumers.

If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, please, forward your CV and a short motivation letter including your research area, project idea and how you, and your research, could contribute to my research lines.

Expressions of interest must be forwarded before 18th May 2021 to carlos.guzman@uco.es stating in the subject “EoI_MSCA-PF-2021”. The selected candidate will be invited to work in the application together with Prof. Carlos Guzmán and the International Projects Office from UCO from the month of May’2021. Please, ensure your agenda allows for full dedication to the proposal preparation during the summer months, since the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship deadline is 15th September 2021.
