Pre-announcement of Andalusian Postdoctoral Fellowship Call and IMIBIC call for expressions of interest

The Aim of the Call:

IMIBIC is looking for postdoctoral researcher candidates to apply for the upcoming call announced by the Regional Government of Andalusia.

Important: The information provided here is preliminary and may change. This call for expressions of interest will be updated with the final Call information upon its official publication, which is expected in Jan/Feb 2020.

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION ABOUT THE CALL:

Name of the Call:

Convocatoria de incorporación de investigadores posdoctorales a grupos de los centros sanitarios y de investigación del Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía (SSPA)

Call for Applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships within the health care centers of the Andalusian Public Health System (SSPA)

Envisaged publication of the call: January/February 2020

Total Budget of the call: 10.2 M€

Duration of the Fellowships: 3 years

Estimated nr. of Fellowships to be granted:

- 23 JUNIOR postdoctoral researchers

- 15 SENIOR postdoctoral researchers

- 5 CLINICAL postdoctoral researchers

 

ELIGIBILITY

I JUNIOR postdoctoral researchers:

  • Be unemployed, or registered as "job seeker - improvement of employment" (“inscripción para mejora de empleo”)
  • Have a PhD in health sciences or technology, obtained max 5 years before the call deadline.
  • Have at least 3 publications (JCR) in the field of biomedicine as first, last or corresponding author.
  • Have worked within an independent research line with the capacity to translate the research results into health outcomes, and that is in line with the research of the envisaged host group.

II SENIOR postdoctoral researchers:

  • Be unemployed, or registered as "job seeker - improvement of employment" (“inscripción para mejora de empleo”)
  • Have a PhD in health sciences or technology, obtained 5 or more years before the call deadline.
  • Have had an employment contract of at least for 3 years in a research center or institution.
  • Have been awarded competitive funding for at least 1 research project as Principal Investigator OR have worked at least 2 years in a prestigious research organisation abroad.
  • Have at least 6 publications (JCR) in the field of biomedicine as first, last or corresponding author, of which at least 2 publications in Q1.

III CLINICAL postdoctoral researchers:

  • Be unemployed, or registered as "job seeker - improvement of employment" (“inscripción para mejora de empleo”)
  • Be in possession of a medical specialisation degree in one of the areas included in Annex I of the Real Decreto 183/2008, de 8 de febrero, por el que se determinan y clasifican las especialidades en Ciencias de la Salud y se desarrollan determinados aspectos del sistema de formación sanitaria especializada (see https://www.boe.es/buscar/act.php?id=BOE-A-2008-3176).
  • Have a PhD in health sciences or technology.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Employment contracts of 3 years.
  • Full Social Security coverage and benefits.
  • Salary: not published yet.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

  • Researcher profile (up to 40 points / 100). Preference is given to researchers that have been awarded  Río Hortega, Joan Rodés, Sara Borrel, Miguel Servet, Juan de la Cierva, Ramón y Cajal, or similar national contracts, for at least 3 years.
  • Merits of the host group (up to 30 points / 100)
  • Merits of the host organisation (up to 10 points /100)
  • Scientific quality and feasibility of the project proposal (up to 10 points /100)
  • Adequacy and interest of the proposed project within the Andalusian Public Health System (up to 10 points /100)

Threshold for some of the criteria may be established.
