Professor Antonio Ortega Santos, from the Department of Contemporary History at the University of Granada, welcomes postdoctoral candidates interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (MSCA-IF) in this university. Our research Gruop South Training Action Network of Decoloniality (HUM 952) is focused in some different field research inclina in the general topic Environmental History. Our main attention is about the environmental impact of capitalism in the contemporary age, attending to ecosystem management, common goods in environmental conflicts. From this perspective, attending to emergen new epistemes, just we are developing new decolonial studies, creating reflections from the Global South.

Our projects in this moment are focused in environmental perspective, apart a new attention to asian studies concreting in decolizing identities, with special and relevant attention to management of common goods and building up landscape in a bicultural perspective. This means attention to colonial impact of globalization inside a historical perspective from the last two centuries. This approach is creating network with other institutions (being promoter of SAB-INS International Research Network AUIP with UNAM, UABCS, UNiversidad Querétaro and Universidad Veracruzana -Mexico-, UNICAUCA -Colombia- and Suny Old Westbury New York). Environmental Studies is the main field of our job with an interdisciplinary perspective, involved in a historial approach and with attention to present-days problemas of environmental impact of economic activities.
