Description
A Postdoctoral Fellowship is available in the group of Prof. Dr. Seda Keskin at Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey. The position may both be funded under her ERC Starting Grant 2017 project (COSMOS), and be supported as an MSCA-PF-2022 application.
COSMOS (Computational Simulations of MOFs for Gas Separations) is a 5-year, ambitious project aiming to build a complete metal organic framework (MOF) library and use molecular simulations to assess adsorption and diffusion properties of gas mixtures in MOFs with a total funding of 1.5M Euros.
Applicants must have a PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Materials Science or a relevant subject area. Research experience in computational modeling is expected. Strong oral and written communication skills in English are a must.
The candidate will be working in a dynamic environment with key focus on high-throughput simulations of MOFs for gas adsorption and diffusion. The applicant is expected to co-supervise PhD students, conduct research and write papers. Successful candidates will be offered a very competitive salary and benefits including accommodation close to Koc University, laptop, meal card and health insurance.
Applications should send by e-mail to skeskin@ku.edu.tr in a single PDF file including:
a) Motivation letter (why do you want to join us?)
b) Curriculum vitae.
c) Description of previous research (1-2 pages).
d) Names and contact addresses of two academic references.
Applications will be treated confidentially.
