EU RESEARCH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMMEHE / MSCA
LOCATIONGermany, Frankfurt am Main
ORGANISATION/COMPANYInstitute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy, Georg-Speyer-Haus, Frankfurt am Main
We welcome top-class multidisciplinary postdoctoral researchers in areas like biology, medicine, biotechnology, pharmacology or bioinformatics, regardless of nationality, who are interested in applying for an EU-funded Marie Sklodowska Curie Action (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship. We offer to host your fellowship if you are interested in the molecular and cellular basis of tumorigenesis and want to study the interaction of various cell types within the tumor and the tumor microenvironment or test new therapeutic concepts in valid pre-clinical tumor models with state-of-the-art methods. Experience in tumor research, data analysis and interpretation is desirable.
Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy, Georg-Speyer-Haus in Frankfurt am Main, Germany offers a friendly, international work-environment in close collaboration with local, national, and international partners to translate these concepts into early clinical trials. Our translational research – from basic research on tumor biology to preclinical studies – is covered by eight research groups and three research fields: Cellular Communication in the Stem Cell Niche, Cell-Cell Interaction in the Tumor Stroma and Experimental Therapy. We use state-of-the-art methods and research infrastructure such as tissue slice assays, MR and bioluminescence imaging, flow cytometry and cell sorting, microscopy, 3D-culture/organoids techniques, stem cell cultures, patient-derived xenografts, immunohistochemistry staining, immunoassays, gene editing, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, RT-PCR, sequencing, in vitro and in vivo evaluation of cellular cancer immunotherapies, antibody design and production, etc.
Our high-class research infrastructure is complemented by dedicated administrative support related to EU projects which together offer a unique opportunity to achieve excellence in research and innovation.
Interested? Then please convince us that you are the special candidate we can host. Send your CV, publication list, scientific awards, and your motivation letter describing your innovative ideas and skills to Dr Alina Jurcoane (A.Jurcoane@georg-speyer-haus.de)
