Description
Job Description
The Alberto Carbonell Lab (https://www.AlbertoCarbonellLab.com) is currently seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work at the Institute for Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology (IBMCP) (http://www.ibmcp.csic.es/en). The hosting organization is in Valencia, Spain. The successful applicant must have a PhD in Plant Sciences, Plant Molecular Biology or similar.
We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated to work in an interdisciplinary environment at the interface between biological aspects such as the mechanisms underlying ARGONAUTE-mediated silencing response upon stresses in plants, and the development of highly efficient small RNA-based tools for fine-tuning plant gene expression and for enhanced crop protection.
The experienced researcher must be skilled in molecular biology techniques, and have experience working with model plants and/or crops. Applicant should have complementary skills and expertise that will help to build a solid 2-year project.
Regulation Aspects
The Marie Curie Individual Fellowships (MSCA-IF) scheme is a prestigious European funding programme that supports mobility, career development, and training within and beyond Europe. The scheme offers a competitive salary and research costs.
MSCA-IF will involve a joint application between the experiencedresearcher and IBMCP (CSIC) acting as host organization (beneficiary). We are interested in experienced researchers (i.e., PhD degree or at least 4 years full time research experience) available to move to Valencia (Spain) from another EU country. The research action is for 24 months. The experienced researcher will receive monthly living, mobility and family (if transferred in Spain) allowances.
All expressions of interest must meet the eligibility criteria of the H2020-MSCA-IF-2020 scheme. The deadline for this call is 9September 2020.
