Description

Employing quantitative method, the project is to examine the economic impact of inward FDI on EU’s economy. The research will be conducted at two levels. At the macro level, to investigate the inward FDI on EU country’s GDP growth, export competitiveness, and employment, the three major challenges for EU; At firm micro-level, to examine the impact of FDI spillover effects on domestic firms’ innovation, technology, and productivity performance, i.e. whether FDI can be the engine to drive technology spillovers/transfer, innovation activity, and human capital mobility, promoting regional integration not only economically but socially and politically within the EU.

Prospective Fellows may be of any nationality, should have completed or be near to completion of a doctoral degree and should have been working outside of the UK for the last three years. Prospective Fellows should have a track record in scholarly activity (as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications).
