The Suntory Foundation offers support for ongoing research activities with international and interdisciplinary significance in the social science and humanities fields.
What is funded
Research support is provided to researchers from a wide range of specialties, affiliations, and nationalities, for a period of one year. The total amount covered by the scheme for one project is in the JPY 0.5 million to JPY 3 million range (EUR 4,000 to 23,000).

Eligibility
Applications are accepted from people of all nationalities, institutions, and places of residence, but application information and forms are provided only in Japanese and applications must be submitted in Japanese.
