About

Outline

Experientia Foundation wants to motivate young scientists who work in the field of organic, bioorganic and medicinal chemistry to come back from their postdoctoral residencies to set up a research group of their own in the Czech Republic.
Our project of start-up grants is intended for young scientists (5 years since Ph.D. defense in maximum) who came back from at least one-year postdoctoral residency abroad. Each year there will be one grant (in maximum) awarded to one successful applicant, who will choose his host university. Research group will be supported with 2 mil CZK per year.

What is funded

We look for an independent scientific project focused on new topics significantly changing the boundaries of knowledge in the field of organic, bioorganic and medicinal chemistry.
Criteria for evaluating the projects are similar to ERC grants: scientific excellence, originality and the high-risk-high-gain character of the project, independence of the researcher.

Duration

3 YEARS. Support will be granted to a young scientist for three years, starting 1 January 2020.

Eligibility

The original research project has to fall within the field of organic, bioorganic and medicinal chemistry. Applicants should be young scientists (5 years since Ph.D. defense in maximum) who came back from at least one-year postdoctoral residency abroad.
