- Project description
Graffiti reveals an individual sensitivity and reflects the visual culture of the society in which it is used. This crossroads object, both historical and anthropological, contributes to the study of mentalities and representations. It calls for a multidisciplinary approach: history, art history, anthropology, archaeology, digital humanities, science of techniques and materials, epigraphy or even semiology. The lapidary archive thus becomes a historical source to be read as well as a gesture to be grasped.
