About
Outline
Nutrients are applied in potato field at different stages of potato cultivation season. During the growing season, farm operators scout the field searching for deficiency symptoms and taking samples for laboratory analysis. In this project, we aim to improve scouting by developing intelligent sensing that can find symptoms and advise on sampling locations so that scouting will become less expensive and more accurate.
The candidate for this program is expected to develop sensing technology using techniques such as image processing and to handle big data collection from the sensors and laboratory tests.
