About

LMU invites applications from early-stage postdoctoral researchers from all fields of research who have recently completed their doctoral degrees. The program gives successful candidates the opportunity to carry out an independent research project with the support of an LMU professor and enhances their career development by fostering the training and mobility of fellows.

The University offers ten Incoming LMU Research Fellowships to outstanding international junior academics and five Outgoing LMU Research Fellowships to excellent Ph.D. graduates from LMU Munich. The fellowships are tenable for two years and may be extended for an additional year in exceptional cases. Fellows will receive an attractive salary and a substantial research budget. In addition, fellows will be members of the Young Center of the Center for Advanced Studies.

LMU Munich is an equal opportunity employer committed to excellence through diversity and therefore explicitly encourages women to apply. Disabled applicants with essentially equal qualifications will be given preference.

The fellowships should commence by September 2019.

For all information regarding your application please consult our website.

EU EmblemThis project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 754388.
