Outline

The ERC Advanced Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) supports principal investigators with an exceptional track record over the past 10 years. The Principal Investigators should be exceptional leaders in terms of originality and significance of their research contributions. Applicants may be of any nationality. The proposed research must be conducted at a public or private research organisation (known as a Host Institution/HI) in EU Member States or Associated Countries. The grant provides 2.5 million EUR for 5 years (plus 25% indirect costs). Applications are open to researchers in the following domains:

  • Social Sciences and Humanities (SH)
  • Life Sciences (LS)
  • Physical and Engineering Sciences (PE)
