Offer Description
Director of Military Institute of Medicine - National Research Institute in Warsaw announces a competition for the position of professor of scientific and technical research team with a referral to work in the Department of Endocrinology and Isotope Therapy.

Required documents:
- CV taking into account scientific and professional work,
- certificate of the right to exercise the profession;
- documents certifying professional qualifications (a copy of Medical University diploma, number of the right to practice the profession, copies of diplomas of obtained degrees and held specializations);
- employment certificates confirming the periods of employment;
- a list of scientific achievements and bibliometric certified by Scientific Library;
- in case of foreign internships lasting at least one month, apprenticeships or trips for grant within the European Union education programs (in the country and abroad), the relevant certificate;
- information on research projects, ongoing and completed ones;
- initial declaration indicating Military Institute of Medicine - National Research Institute as the place of the primary employment;
- a statement of consent to the processing of personal data to conduct the competition, in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ L 119, 04/05/2016, p. 1);

in a sealed envelope marked: “Competition for the scientific position of professor”.
The competition is announced on 23.11.2022. The results of the competition will be known within 2 months from the date of publication. A person who is qualified by open competition will be employed in accordance with the Labour Code and the Act of 30 April 2010 on research institutes (Journal of Laws of 2022., item 498) and regulations issued thereunder.

To enter the competition the candidates should meet the following requirements:
1. the title of professor of medical sciences;
2. documented publications in international journals, at least 1000 points Ministry of Education and Science obtained after the date of the decision of the Scientific Council to initiate the procedure for granting the title of professor. The candidate should be the first or last author of reported publications, including at least five original work;
3. promoter at least two doctoral theses completed granting the degree of Doctor counted from the date of the decision of the Scientific Council to initiate the procedure for granting the title of professor;
4. experience in managing research teams, implementing projects financed from funds established for this purpose in the state budget or from other sources than the budget, according to the regulations governing the financing of science;
5. reviews in doctoral and/or habilitation proceedings;
6. active participation in scientific, educational (in particular the care of doctoral students, student research circle);
7. the title of a specialist in endocrinology, internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear medicine, minimum 20 years of professional experience;
8. speak Polish fluently;
9. have a good command of English.
The scope of tasks:
1. conducting research and development works in the field of medicine with particular references to research on the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine gland diseases, neuroendocrine neoplasms and thyroid carcinomas, the use of radioisotope diagnostics and therapy;
2. making scientific achievements publically available, including publications and active participation in scientific life;
3. improving qualifications;
4. attention to the development of scientific personnel;
5. training scientific personnel;
6. providing medical services in accordance with the profile of the Department of Endocrinology and Isotope Therapy.
