In accordance with the Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following positions

Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics

ID of the position: 202302-VED-KAM

Qualification requirements: Habilitation or full professor title in a relevant area, fluent command of Czech and English language, research and teaching experience in an area of interest of the department, publication record in impact journals, selective conferences or other media recognized by the community, ability to coordinate the activities of the department, a strong motivation for leading the department and supporting its dynamic and proportional development in all aspects, appropriate management skills.

Expected starting date is October 1, 2023.

• proofs of education and awarding of academic titles,
• a description of teaching and research experience,
• a list of publications,
• citation report, and
• an outline of a development proposal for the department/center for at least 4 years
