Postdoctoral Researcher (Ref. Postdoc 2023-09 AE)

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is loking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in Prof. Antonio Echavarren’s research group. This position will be funded by 2021 SGR 01256 project.

ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). ICIQ is looking for a motivated Postdoctoral researcher to work in the group of Prof. Antonio M. Echavarren. The successful candidate will work on a project on the synthesis and optimization of new chiral metal catalysts.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will work experimentally on the synthesis of new gold-catalysts and development of new methods for the intermolemolecular activation of unsaturated substrates.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry in a well-reputed group.
• Having completed your PhD within the last 3 years.
• Strong background in the development of synthetic organic methodology and supramolecular chemistry.
• Leadership in the development of research projects.
• Good knowledge of English.

We offer:

• 12 months temporary contract.
• Remuneration according to individual’s qualifications/experience
• Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments
