1 (one) Post doctoral position in Paediatric Oncology within the project "Towards an UNIque approach for artificial intelligence data-driven solutions to fight Childhood cAncer FOR EUrope - UNICA4EU"

The Department of Women's and Children's Health Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Division (pHOD) of the University of Padova is the largest center in east Italy dedicated to the care of women, babies, children, and young people, bringing together health and research skills that have allowed it to become today a reality of excellence at national and international level.

The University of Padova is a partner of the European project "Towards an UNIque approach for artificial intelligence data-driven solutions to fight Childhood cAncer FOR EUrope - UNICA4EU" and will work closely with all partners to define and structure all activities within the project. Furthermore, the University of Padova will collaborate with SIOPE (Belgium) and St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (Austria) will collaborate with the European clinical trial Groups to identify a common core of variables to be used homogeneously in all EU childhood cancer databases.

The postdoctoral fellowship position is a temporary position where the main goal is to analyze the paediatric cancer database currently used with the aim of identifying occur variables capable of capturing the most relevant data on the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with cancers. She/He will support the Principal Investigator (Prof. Gianni Bisogno) in the implementation phases of the coding system of the variables that will be included in future (and possibly in progress) databases on rare tumors in pediatric age to allow a better user of AI tools taking into account the problems associated with the data acquisition protocols. She/He will also contribute to the implementation of a series of recommendations for the possible future implementation of these systems.

She will have a Master’s degree in Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Medical Biotechnologies or Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy, or Nursing and Midwifery Sciences or Science and Technology of Industrial Chemistry. She/He will have documented scientific-professional experience in relation to the subject matter of the project.
