Software designer - biomicroscopy

LABORATORY

Founded in 2002, the Institut Fresnel has built an international reputation based on its high-level, cutting-edge research activities in all the facets of optics and photonics. The Mosaic group of the Institut Fresnel is an interdisciplinary research team composed of around 40 members including physicists and biologists, working at the interface between nanophotonics and bioimaging.

RESEARCH PROGRAM

We have an opening for a software designer, for 12 months.
The recruited engineer will handle the development of a software to pilot a camera and process in real time the acquired raw images (called interferograms) into wavefront profile images. The data will concern images of living cells (neurons, bacteria), nanoparticles and 2D materials. The team already possesses a preliminary Matlab program to achieve this task. The goal of the project will be to develop a professional software written in C++ and Python, ideally including GPU computing.

Requirements

The candidate should hold an engineer or master degree, experienced in software design, C++, Python, and ideally also in Matlab and GPU computing.
