University of Rijeka, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Primorska 46, PO Box 97, Naselje Ika, 51410 Opatija, announces

SELECTION PROCEDURE

VI. for the selection of teachers for the science teaching profession and for the position of associate professor for the scientific area of social sciences, the science field of economics, the scientific branch of financial economics, for a permanent and full-time employment - 1 executor.

The application must be accompanied by the following:

- a handwritten, detailed CV including phone number and email address,

- proof of citizenship

- certificate of the competent court that there are no criminal proceedings against the applicant (not older than 6 months),

- electronic record of the data stored in the database of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute,

- proof of appropriate professional education, proof of acquired academic degree of Doctor of Science, i.e. scientific title and other documents showing that the applicant meets the requirements for selection,

- description of scientific, teaching and professional activity, list of scientific and professional works and relevant works.

Applicants must meet the requirements specified in the Law on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette No. 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/ 13. in the selection procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, scientific, teaching and associate positions and for the corresponding positions at the University of Rijeka and in the Statute of the University of Rijeka, and they are obliged to provide appropriate evidence for everything.

Applicants whose native language is not Croatian must also provide proof of knowledge of Croatian language C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (proof of knowledge at the required level may exceptionally be provided orally and/or in writing if the applicant cannot provide written proof of knowledge of Croatian language). Applicants who have acquired the relevant education outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a certificate of recognition of a foreign educational qualification or a certificate of the submitted application for recognition of a foreign educational qualification.

Applicants who, on the basis of special regulations, claim the right to priority in employment, are obliged to refer to this right in their application and to enclose all evidence required by the special regulations for the exercise of this right, and they have priority over other applicants only under equal conditions.

Applicants who exercise the right to priority employment on the basis of Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families are obliged to refer to this right in their application and to attach all proofs for the exercise of this right, and they have priority over other applicants only under equal conditions. Applicants who exercise the right to priority in employment on the basis of Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the selection procedure and to attach all evidence of the exercise of the said right, and have priority over other applicants only under equal conditions. The selection process is open to both genders. Terms used in this competition that have a gender-specific meaning are used in a gender-neutral manner and apply equally to both genders.

For applicants who meet the requirements of the selection process, the faculty reserves the right to conduct an assessment of knowledge and skills through testing and/or interviews. Applicants will be notified in a timely manner of the administration of the knowledge and skills test. If the applicant does not participate in the test, he/she will be considered to have withdrawn his/her application.

The Faculty reserves the right to cancel all or part of this selection process.
