Promoting the Employment of Foreign Academic Staff at Riga Technical University

One lecturer position at the Centre of Academic Excellence, Riga Technical University, the study field Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences, Management Science or other relevant fields to deliver courses for doctoral thesis supervisors and doctoral students.

Requirements and selection criteria:

• Applicants should be employed in the academic position of any accredited foreign higher education institution during the previous five years;
• Applicants  should hold a doctoral degree in the relevant field of science (preferably in the Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences, Management Science or other relevant fields) and hold an academic position in an accredited higher education institution;

• Applicants should have experience in lecture delivery for emerging and/or young researchers focusing on the development of transversal skills;
• Applicants should have an advanced level of English language proficiency and work experience in an international environment;;
• Applicants should have excellent presentation skills, and written and verbal communication skills.

Professional responsibilities:

• Developing syllabi and delivering lectures in academic integrity and Ph. D. supervision including other related topics focusing on the development of transversal skills;

When applying for the ESF funding, the following documents are required:
An application addressed to the Rector, a CV (in the form of a Europass containing the most important publications in the last 5 years), a document confirming employment in an accredited foreign higher education institution's academic position, as well as an attestation of the accreditation of that institution. The pedagogical skills will be assessed in the framework of the job interview organized in person or remotely. Applications must be sent to personals@rtu.lv.

Duration: 4 months (on site and remotely – to be negotiated)

Wage range – up to 4000 Euro per month including taxes (the work responsibilities can be implemented in the hybrid form through negotiation of the provisional schedule with the Riga Technical University responsible unit).
