At the Institute for Nuclear Physics of the Goethe University
Frankfurt am Main there is a position as

Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(E13 TV-G-U)

available which is part of an ERC Starting Grant project. The position is available for 24 months. The earliest starting date is the 01.06.2023. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TVG-U). The position is offered in the context of the project „Tunnel ionization in three-dimensional tailored light fields“. The Research Assistant will prepare and conduct experiments on strong field ionization of single atoms and molecules in tailored, three-dimensional laser fields, analyze the results and publish the results. We provide excellent research opportunities, open and team-oriented working conditions. There is the possibility to present the obtained results on national and international conferences. Prerequisite are a master's degree in physics and a PhD in physics. Knowledge in the field of experimental atomic and molecular physics and strong field ionization is desired. Experimental experience with COLTRIMS reaction microscopes and alignment of interferometric laser setups is expected. Experience in data analysis or programming skills in at least one programming language and very good English skills are required.
