A tender is hereby opened for 1 (one) Research Initiation Grant (BII) within LE@D, Distance Education and e-Learning Laboratory, R&D unit FCT/4372, financed by the Special Support "Verão com Ciência 22" awarded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). The Research Initiation Grant activities will be developed within the framework of the project OBLID-Rede de Internacional de Investigação e Intervenção para Cidadania e a Inclusão Digital
The grant has a duration of 1 month, not renewable. The grant is foreseen to start on 1 August 2022.
The amount of the monthly maintenance allowance corresponds to €486,12 according to the values provided by FCT, I.P., https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/docs/Tabela_de_Valores_SMM_2022.pdf and will be paid by bank transfer.

Selection methods: The selection of candidates will be based on a curriculum evaluation considering:
Knowledge of SPSS; mastery of English; interest in the areas of Literacy and Digital Skills; Digital Media
The call is open from 12 to 19th of July 2022.
Applications may be sent by e-mail and must include mandatorily the following documents:
a) Curriculum Vitae in Portuguese or English;
b) Proof of enrolment, in the 2021/2022 academic year, in a technical higher vocational course, a bachelor's degree, an integrated master's degree or a master's degree or proof of holding a bachelor's degree and being enrolled in a course that does not confer an academic degree integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with R&D units.
c) Copy of identification document BI/Citizen Card/Passport and/or Residence Permit.
d) Declaration that the candidate complies with the provisions of article 5 of the Regulation for Research Grants of the Foundation for Science and Technology. (FCT Research Grant Regulation No. 950/2019 of December 16th amended by Regulation No. 643/2021 of July 14th)

REQUIRED LANGUAGESPORTUGUESE: Excellent
Students enrolled in a professional higher technical course, in a degree, in an integrated master's or master's degree in the above mentioned scientific areas or by graduates, in the above mentioned scientific areas, who are enrolled in courses not awarding an academic degree integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units in accordance with the provisions in number 1 and 2 of article 5 of the Research Grant Regulation of the Foundation for Science and Technology.
The Research Initiation Grant can only be awarded to those who do not exceed, with the conclusion of the Grant agreement in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of one year in that type of grant, followed or interpolated in accordance with the provisions of n.4 of article 5 of the Research Grant Regulation of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
The Research Initiation Grant cannot be awarded to anyone who has already benefited from research grants directly or indirectly financed by the FCT, awarded under the terms of the Research Fellow Statute in accordance with the provisions of number 5 of article 5. of the Research Grant Regulation of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
