Successful Applicant will be expected to:
- conduct research in line with the statutory activities of the Department;
- publish research results, in particular with high-ranking international publishers and journals;
- apply for external research funding in the framework of national and international competitions;

Eligibility criteria
Candidates are required to submit the following documents:
1. Application Form;
2. Curriculum Vitae with a full list of publications, research projects, fellowships, presentations
at scientific conferences;
3. A copy of a PhD diploma or its equivalent;
4. A statement confirming that the Institute of Political Studies shall be the primary place of employment;
5. Recommendation letter from a scholar familiar with the Applicant's scientific career;
6. A statement accepting the terms and conditions of the competition;
7. GDPR Acceptance Form.
Documents shall be submitted in hard copy - Polna 18/20, 00-625 Warsaw or sent via email to politic@isppan.waw.pl - PLEASE MAKE SURE to PUT [Recruitment: Position you are Applying for/ Department] in the TITLE of your email. The deadline for application is 2 September 2022. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Selection process
The Recruitment Committee will only assess COMPLETE application packages.
The Recruitment Committee may invite selected Applicants for an online interview.
Decision will be reached within 10 working days following the application deadline, i.e. by 16 September 2022 at the latest. All candidates will be informed about the results of the selection process.
There is no appeal procedure against the decision of the Recruitment Committee.

Skills/Qualifications
- PhD degree or its equivalent in Social Sciences, in particular Political Science or International Relations;
- excellent command of English, supported by relevant publications and/ or language certificates (at least C1 level), that allows to conduct research and publish research results with international publishers/ journals;
- excellent command of other languages, supported by relevant publications and/ or language certificates, will be an asset;
- international experience, including research and teaching fellowships or participation in international research projects, will be an asset;
- experience as principal investigator in research projects, funded by national and international funding agencies, will be an asset.
Specific Requirements
- expertise and research interest, supported by relevant publications, in particular with high-ranking international publishers/ journals, in the area of international organizations, especially NATO; regional political and/ or economic integration; foreign and defense policies of member states of the European Union and/ or NATO.
