OFFER DESCRIPTION

Institute of Smart Cities (ISC) of Universidad Publica de Navarra (Public University of Navarre), Pamplona, Spain (http://www.unavarra.es/isc) offers a full time contract for two years, to carry out the tasks and duties assigned within the MIRACLE Project "Photonic Metaconcrete with infrared RAdiative Cooling capacity for Large Energy savings -FETOPEN-2020 Grant funded by the European Research Council under Horizon 2020.

The main  purpose of the contract is the design, fabrication and experimental demonstration of electromagnetic metamaterial structures for the control of thermal emission in radiative cooling systems.

UPNA will provide a full-time employment contract for a duration of 2 years with entitlement to all the benefits available to all UPNA researchers.

Gross Salary: € 22.527 per year (corresponding to 12 monthly payments of € 1.877 gross income)

Offer Requirements

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL
    Engineering: Master Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

Official Master´s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, Photonics or Nanaotechnology is required.

In the case of degrees obtained abroad, the applicant must have the document which certifies its recognition. This requirement shall not be applicable for applicants who have obtained validation for their professional qualification, in the area of regulated professions, under the provisions of European Law.

 

Specific Requirements

SECTION 1: Academic performance (65 POINTS)

- The academic record of the degree to access this selection process shall be evaluated proportionally up to 60 points.

- Additional courses related to nanophotonics and/or metamaterial shall be granted 0.1 points per class hour, up to a maximum of 5 points.

SECTION 2: Research experience on the nanophotonics and metamaterial fields (15 POINTS)

- Proven researching experience in the nanophotonics and metamaterials fields (5 points per term): maximum 10 points.

- Proven experience in the use of electromagnetic simulation software COMSOL, HFSS, CST, FEKO (up to 2.5 points per software package): maximum 5 points.

SECTION 3: Personal interview in English (20 points)
