A research position for 1 (one) Research Grant ("Bolsa de Licenciado") is open at Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território, within the project UrBio – Planeamento e design urbano mais inteligente através da biodeteção participativa em mobilidade(EXPL/GES-URB/0273/2021).
The amount of the grant corresponds to €875.98, according to the table of values of the directly awarded by FCT, I.P. in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores).
Applicants must meet the eligibility conditions provided for in article 9 of the FCT IP Research Grant Regulation (Regulation No. 950/2019, published in Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 241 on December 16th, 2021).
The applicable selection method will be the curricular evaluation of the candidates.
Evaluation Parameters: The curricular evaluation includes the following parameters following parameters:
- Graduation classification (40%);
- Curriculum Vitae, namely experience in the functions described in the work plan (40%);
- Command of the Portuguese Language and the English Language (fluency and accuracy in fluency and accuracy in oral expression) (10%);
- Motivation Letter (10%).
The jury may, should it consider it necessary, invite the candidates placed in the first three positions for an interview. In this case, the interview has a weight of of 30%, to be accumulated to the score obtained in the first phase of selection, which will have a weight of 70%.
The selection board for this scholarship is composed of the following members

1st board member: PhD Herculano Alberto Pinto Cachinho, Associate Professor at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon;
2nd: Dr Ana Cláudia dos Santos Gonçalves, Associate Professor of the Estoril Higher School of Hotel Management and Tourism;
1st Alternate Member: Dr. Inês Sousa e Silva Boavida Portugal, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon University of Lisbon;
2nd Alternate Member: Prof. Eduardo Manuel Dias Brito Henriques, Associate Professor at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning Associate Professor at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon University of Lisbon.
The final results of the evaluation will be communicated to the candidates

If the result is unfavorable to the granting of the requested scholarship, the candidates have a period of 10 working days to comment, if they wish, under the terms of articles 121 and 122 of the Administrative Procedure Code (Código do Procedimento Administrativo). The selected candidate must express his/her intention to accept the scholarship in writing. In the event of non-acceptance, the scholarship will be awarded to the candidate in order of final ranking.
The competition is open from May 9 to May 20, 2022.

Graduates in Geography, Social Sciences or related areas, who are Social Sciences or similar areas, who are enrolled in a Master's program at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon or from another Higher Education Institution.
The candidate to be selected must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a Master's program at IGOT-ULisboa or another Higher Education Institution in Human Geography, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Urban Studies, or related areas;
- Undergraduate degree in Geography, Social Sciences or related areas;
- Suitability of the research topic in the master's degree to the research to be carried out in the scope of the project;
- Possession of an interest in research on urban themes;
- Possess experience in qualitative research methods;
- Knowledge of Portuguese and English (fluency and accuracy in oral and written expression) oral and written expression)
