OFFER DESCRIPTION
The “G@V - Research and Training for Global Challenges” Cofund Fellowship Programme funded through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND scheme gives 15 talented researchers from all over the world the opportunity to undertake their research and training activity at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
The programme is supported by the University's corporate partners including strategic research centres, non-academic networks of spin-offs and small and medium enterprises, where Fellows will have the opportunity to complete secondment, bridging the gap between academic and applied research, and between research and market.
The second call for proposals will award a maximum of 7 Fellowships each lasting 24 months. The opening date is 26 April 2022. The deadline to submit applications is 1pm (CET) August 5 2022.
Applicants are requested to submit their own research proposal in one of the six multidisciplinary Research for Global Challenges Institutes (RGCI) that will support them with their individual research and training needs.
Applicants must contact a potential supervisor, whose role is to integrate the research within the Research for Global Challenge Institute.

Following the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C&C) and Human Resources Strategy for Researchers, Fellows will be appointed at UNIVE with tax free and 24 months full time employment contract “assegno di ricerca”, according to the University Regulations on Research Fellowship.
Fellows will receive:
Living allowance: 3836 Euros(gross)/month
Mobility allowance: 500 Euros/month
Family allowance (if eligible): 500 Euros/month
In addition to the gross salary amount, a personal research budget (max 800€ per month) managed by the relevant Department will be available for research activity, training, publications and workshop.
Benefits include annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, pension provision, social security.
To all G@V Fellows UNIVE guarantees the first three months of the salary paid in one instalment at the beginning of their Fellowship, to make their mobility easier.
Fellows will be hosted in the same department as their supervisor and will have full access to the department’s infrastructures, services, equipment, libraries and laboratories to carry out the project.
Eligibility criteria
Research Fellows of any nationality on the date of the deadline (1pm CET 5 August 2022) must meet the following three criteria to apply:
- Be in possession of a PhD degree acquired not later than 8 years prior to this call deadline;
- Have at least one major publication without his/her PhD supervisor (either accepted, in press or published) at the time of deadline;
- Have not resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for longer than 12 months in the 3- year period before the call deadline in compliance with the MSCA mobility rule
