Funded PhD student positions are available at the Institute of Physiology, CAS, Prague in:

• NEUROSCIENCE

• CARDIOVASCULAR PHYSIOLOGY

Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IPHYS is one of the leading biomedical research institutions in the fields of neuroscience, metabolism and cardiovascular physiology in the Czech Republic. Our research paves the road to novel diagnostic and therapeutic procedures tackling serious medical conditions in humans including autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, ischemic heart disease, diabetes or inherited metabolic disorders. Moreover, IPHYS holds an important role in the education of undergraduate and graduate students and health care workers..

Call for applications:

PhD candidates are encouraged to choose up to 3 PhD project from an annotated list found at https://www.fgu.cas.cz/en/students and apply through a web portal found at the site (or link below). The candidates will be notified by the end of April 2021 about the outcome of the selection process and will receive detailed information about the next steps required to start their PhD studies. Selected PhD candidates will be enrolled at a university-administered, tuition-free PhD program (mostly at the Charles University, Prague) and supported by a flat-rate university stipend and up to full-time salary and benefits by IPHYS. PhD program starts in October 2022.
