OFFER DESCRIPTION
The contents of the museum are not accessible to all visitors. There is a vast range of diverse cognitive disabilities, which can affect a person's visit or even discourage it. Cognitive disabilities lead us to take into account aspects regarding different modes of museum fruition, as well as visitors' wellbeing, the creation of novel and captivating experiences within them; it becomes ever more important to consider how the very contact with such spaces brings visitors with certain disabilities in touch with an unknown dimension, where entering into contact with people and objects may also entail an experience providing joy, gratification, serenity, a stimulus for curiosity, creativity, personal involvement and even change. The project aims at realising a series of solution strategies to overcome all those 'cognitive' barriers. The intended target are people with cognitive disabilities or special educational needs, as well as people with conditions including dementia or Alzheimer.
