OFFER DESCRIPTION

The Department of Art History at the University of Vienna is one of the oldest and largest educational centers for art studies in the world. It focuses on the visual arts in Europe from late antiquity to the present as well as on Islamic and Asian art. There are 2000 students. As of 01.03.2022, there is a vacancy for a full time position as university assistant "post doc" focus on "Middle Ages", limited to four months.

Responsibilities include contributing to the printing of English-language publications on medieval religious art and architecture.
- Active participation in research, teaching and administration. This involves
- Involvement in research projects / research studies
- Independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students
- Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration Responsibilities include contributing to the printing of English-language publications on medieval religious art and architecture.
