The main responsibilities of the candidate will be to model and analyse atomic and electronic structure of solids. Working with students including conducting classes will be a very important part of the job.
Candidate is expected to have a very good knowledge of the condensed matter physics. A good knowledge of molecular dynamics and ab-initio methods will be necessary. The candidate is expected to have experience in X-ray diffraction and absorption experimental techniques. The candidate should have documented scientific achievements as well as teaching experience.
The aim of the research will be to (i) provide insight into the atomic and electronic structure of metallic glasses, in particular in high-pressure conditions (ii) planning and carrying out X-ray diffraction and absorption synchrotron experiments. Besides scientific research, the responsibilities include also supervising diploma theses, as well as giving lectures and conducting classes in physics on an academic level.
