OFFER DESCRIPTION

The University of Barcelona is leading a European Project (TRUE) in collaboration with Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, Université de Montpellier, Universidad de Extremadura, DTI Donation and Transplantation Institute, SAPIENS MINDSET, SL, Fundación de la Universidad de Cantabria para el Estudio y la Investigación del Sector Financiero and Siemens Healthineers. The TRUE project aims at Transforming Universities towards Entrepreneurship, by developing holistic interventions at all leves, academic staff, non-academic staff and students. Through people analytics the consortium will assess the impact of the designed introversions implemented during a two-year period. The business developer has to work with fully autonomy, being creative and passionate of the job. The business developer is responsible for daily management of the institution and has responsibility to make it growth. She/he has to:

  • Search and establishment of alliances with ecosystem agents (companies, investors, administration, etc.)
  • Design and coordination of unique actions to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and university-society relationships
  • Budget management and search for public and private financing
  • Application, monitoring and justification of projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and training and accompaniment to entrepreneurs
  • Search and establishment of alliances with ecosystem agents (companies, investors, administration, etc.)
  • Design and coordination of unique actions to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and university-society relationships
  • Budget management and search for public and private financing
  • Application, monitoring and justification of projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and training and accompaniment to entrepreneurs
  • Supervision of the team's trainee staff

The selection procedure includes 1) an eligibility check (including an ethics check for topics suggested by the applicants), 2) an external review, 3) interviews, 4) the final selection

Priority will be given to people with disabilities (article 59 Law 5/2015 of October 30), according the basic Statute of Public Employees.

    Economics: Master Degree or equivalent
  • REQUIRED LANGUAGES
    ENGLISH: Excellent
    SPANISH: Excellent
    OTHER: Excellent

Skills/Qualifications

  • Ability to plan, organize and work independently and capacity to manage entrepreneurial teams
  • Capacity for rigorous analysis of information and a high sense of criticism and responsibility
  • Training in areas related to business creation and accompaniment to entrepreneurial projects
  • Capable to attract funding to the institutions through competitive projects.
  • Teamwork and Oral and written communications
  • English, IT
  • PhD would be an asset

Specific Requirements

Photocopy or PDF of the National Identity Card, or equivalent document.

Curriculum vitae;

At least 10 years of experience in:

  • Managerial position
  • Cooperation with domestic and foreign scientific and business partners.
  • Teaching programs and mentor students
  • Budget management, subsidies and fundraising

High knowledge of the Catalan entrepreneurial ecosystem and the university/academic framework

Required languages: English (Excellent), Catalan (Excellent), Spanish (Excellent)
