OFFER DESCRIPTION

One full-time postdoctoral position is available at the Laboratory of Transplantation Immunobiology of the Department of Immunology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil. The postdoctoral fellowship will join a multidisciplinary group of researchers to develop a project inserted at the study "Cell metabolism, microbiota and immune system: new paradigms in renal diseases", supported by FAPESP. In this project, we aim to study the role of inflammation, cell metabolism, and microbiota in acute and chronic kidney disease, in order to elucidate new pathophysiological mechanisms and strategies of diagnosis and treatment. The focus of this subproject is to clarify the relationship between the commensal microbiota of obese animals and the prognosis of acute kidney injury using a zebrafish model organism.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from FAPESP for 17 months (Until March 2023) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund (15% of the annual value of the fellowship).
