The Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento invites candidates active in Fundamentals of chemical engineering to apply for one position at the Assistant Professor level. The posts are for a three-year period, once renewable for two further years. The gross annual salary is about 35.000 Euros. The area of research is Fundamentals of chemical engineering.
Requested research duties: on green topics (Action IV.6) in the field of Green Technologies and processes (in particular, hydrothermal) that allow: a) to exploit residual biomass to produce precursors (platform chemicals) for production of bioplastics; b) to exploit waste bioplastics and plastics to obtain, depending on the nature of the waste, platform chemicals, biofuels, adsorbent species, soil improvers/fertilizers. Skills are required both in terms of experimental laboratory activity and process design, modeling and simulation;
Requested teaching duties: in the disciplines of the academic discipline ING-IND/24 (Fundamentals of chemical engineering);
The overall annual hours of work within the areas indicated above equal 1,500 hours per year.
Foreign language required: excellent level of English
Knowledge of Italian: level adequate to carry out the assigned teaching load
Maximum number of publications to be presented: 12.
