OFFER DESCRIPTION
From the 15th century there is a growing attention in the ecclesiastical milieu to the territory and its specific devotional traditions, which became the object of more active promotion and firmer control. Over the centuries, the religious landscape is constantly transformed: new cults are born around people who died in the fame of sanctity or places where a miracle is believed to have occurred, ancient cults are revived, sacred spaces are adapted to the changing artistic taste and mode of fruition, pilgrimage networks and routes change. A better knowledge of these transformations is now essential in order to enhance the territory by rediscovering a tangible and intangible cultural heritage, often forgotten, and to facilitate the enjoyment by citizens and visitors by providing cognitive experiences related to sustainable forms of mobility, environmentally friendly and able to offer new economic opportunities to communities.
