OFFER DESCRIPTION
Thanks to the NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) methodology, recent advances in the ancient DNA study allow us to perform analysis at genomic level, useful for reconstructing the biological profile of ancient individuals and to explore past population dynamics. The last experimental procedures will be applied for recovering and sequencing DNA from ancient human samples from Italy (dated back from Palaeolithic to Medieval time). Bioinformatics approaches will be applied then on genomic data to estimate kinship relationships between individuals from the same necropolis, phenotypic traits, genetic variability patterns at intra- and inter-population level, relationships and admixture events between different ancient populations.
