OFFER DESCRIPTION
Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) is seeking a full-time or part-time post-doctorate level researcher to work on the STREAM (Smart Tools for Railway work safety and performance iMprovement) project. The project is funded from the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (JU) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
In the project, GEM performs tasks related to the assessment of the smart tools developed by the consortium, both from the ethical and the economic angle. These smart tools are exoskeletons and robotic excavators. The postdoc will work with Prof. Stéphanie Gauttier on the Benefit-Cost analysis and ethical assessment of the tools under development.
Namely, the recruit will have to:
- Establish a methodology to perform the Benefit-Cost analysis, building on elements from the budget proposal
- Organise workshops with consortium members to gather the necessary data
- Organise workshops with members of the STREAM end-users board
- Prepare the related deliverable
- Prepare relevant publications and/or conference presentations
- Attend meetings related to the project, which may include occasional travel within Europe
The ideal candidate:
- Holds a PhD in management or any other related discipline;
- Has demonstrated her/his ability to publish in recognized peer-reviewed academic journals;
- Is familiar with the Cost-Benefit (or Benefit-Cost) literature and related modes of analysis;
- Is ready to relocate to Grenoble Ecole de Management;
- Is ready to work in an international team

Practical elements:
- Position to be filled on our Grenoble Campus, 12 rue Pierre Sémard
- The contract will be for 12 months and is set to start ASAP
- Salary: 2300 € gross per month plus 13th month and additional employee advantages (restaurant-vouchers for lunches/shops, reductions for public transport,e tc)
